IT services giant swoops for Hub Network Services in £1.45m deal

Multi award-winning SysGroup wants to become the leading provider of managed IT services to º£½ÇÊÓƵ businesses

IT services giant SysGroup swoops for Hub Network Services in £1.45m deal

North West  IT services firm SysGroup has swooped for a fellow tech firm in a deal worth £1.45m.

SysGroup PLC today announced the acquisition of Bristol -based Hub Network Solutions (HNS) -  and said the cash deal showed its "ambitious growth strategy" to become the º£½ÇÊÓƵ's leading provider of managed IT businesses.

It's the Liverpool city centre firm's second acquisition of 2019, following its deal for Certus IT back in February.

Adam Binks, CEO of SysGroup, said:  “I am thrilled to have made our second acquisition of the year and look forward to working with the HNS team in due course.

"The acquisition of HNS further complements our existing managed services, enabling us to offer our customer base an even wider range of enterprise-grade managed connectivity services alongside our existing managed IT services portfolio.”

HNS, established in 1997, is a managed connectivity and co-location solutions provider.

Its customers include some of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s most well-known brands, including the Welsh Audit Office and Samaritans.

According to SysGroup, which is one of a small number of stock market-listed firms in Liverpool, the deal will see HNS’ network infrastructure, supply agreements and experience in the industry help expand SysGroup’s existing managed IT and cloud-hosting services.
