A US recruitment specialist has opened its first European base in the heart of Newcastle’s thriving life sciences centre.
The Mullings Group, launched in Florida more than 30 years ago, is a leading executive search firm focused on health technology and bio technology markets with bases across the States.
The company has now launched an office at The Biosphere, which is based on Newcastle Helix, reflecting the rapid growth of the North East’s life sciences sector.

Newcastle Helix is a 24-acre city centre development that brings together industry leaders, businesses, and top researchers into an internationally renowned innovation cluster.
The Mullings Group aims to use its experience in unearthing the best talent in the medical device, life sciences and biotech sectors, and will work with high-growth companies across the sector, whose products and services change the global standard of care.
The group’s Tyneside base, which is led by Tom Farr and Michael Allport, has grown revenues from a standing start to seven figures and is expanding its team with internal hires over the course of 2022.
The firm said it is excited to be a part of the life sciences community in the region.
