Recruiter Sellick Partnership reveals expansion plans as profits boom

The recruiter saw growth in both temporary and permanent placements despite the Brexit uncertainties

Jo Sellick

Professional services recruiter Sellick Partnership is set to expand its services to other parts of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ after profits surged by 81 per cent.

The Manchester-headquartered business, which recently sold a majority stake to French giant Samsic, enjoyed a healthy turnover of £48.6m for the financial year ending February 2019.

That was up 16 per cent from the previous year with an EBITDA figure of £2m, a rise of 70 per cent from 2017/18.

Sellick said this has been achieved by a growth in both temporary and permanent placements despite the uncertainty and challenges Brexit is putting on the º£½ÇÊÓƵ recruitment sector.

Both permanent and temporary revenue streams increased considerably, with permanent placements rising by 15 per cent to 418 and contractor numbers also up by 16 per cent with 822 temporary placements out at the close of the financial year.

Jo Sellick, managing director at Sellick Partnership, said: “Sellick Partnership has had another fantastic year, which is testament to the truly amazing team we have working across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

"The recruitment market can be volatile at times of change and uncertainty, but our growth and our placement numbers are an indication of confidence returning to the º£½ÇÊÓƵ jobs market.

“Our continued financial success and investment from Samsic is giving us a great opportunity to look further afield, and expand our current offering into new areas of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.
