Recognition Express creates new role to "propel business into 2020 and beyond"

"The ideal person to take on this leadership role"

Chris Masters

Chris Masters has been promoted to the new role of operations director at the Leicestershire headquarters of Recognition Express as the franchisor gears up for future growth and development.

Recognition Express, which celebrates its 40-year anniversary this year, employs a 10-strong team at its Bardon head office to support its º£½ÇÊÓƵ-wide network of 38 franchisees supplying branded promotional goods and clothing.

Chris’ responsibilities now include leading and motivating his head office colleagues as well as mentoring franchise owners.

He will regularly meet with individual franchisees to conduct business review meetings, offering advice and support rooted in his experience of the franchise industry.

He’ll also drive new marketing initiatives, systems and processes to develop and modernise the brand, further strengthening its market position.

Nigel Toplis, managing director of parent company The Bardon Group, said the depth and breadth of Chris' skills and his familiarity with franchising made him the ideal person to take on the role.

He said: “Chris first joined Recognition Express in 2002, so he pre-dates me and many of the franchise owners.

"He’s held various roles at head office, but also had a stint working directly for one of the franchisees.
