Accountancy and advisory firm MHA Tait Walker is marking a successful year with the appointment of new associate partner Lee Humble.
Mr Humble joins the firm with 15 years of professional services, banking sector and corporate finance experience, having spent time in London and the North West. He brings experience as a finance director and business owner.
He will work with MHA Tait Walker’s corporate finance partner Steve Plaskitt and the rest of the team, including Graham Dotchin, head of the data insight team, to provide transactional, strategy, growth and funding solutions to businesses across the region.
He said: “I love the transactional environment of corporate finance and the varied experience that I have gained over the years plays well into this role. I’ve always been an admirer of MHA Tait Walker and I’m really excited to tap into the expertise they have here and the wider service offering across tax, accountancy and wealth management.”
Michael Smith will continue to support the corporate finance team with his 25 years of experience in the specialism.
Durham based Hargreaves Land, the land and property division of Hargreaves Services PLC, has announced the appointment of a non-executive director.
James Ramsbotham, chief executive of the North East England Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed to the role to provide support and assistance to help grow the property business.
Hargreaves Land’s portfolio extends to over 15,000 acres across 50-plus sites throughout the 海角视频. The firm has a 22-strong property team, and has regional offices in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, as well as Lanark and Edinburgh in Scotland.

He also has an active role helping a number of regional charitable organisations.
Electronic Manufacturing business Arian EMS Ltd has appointed Sandy Thackeray as business development manager.
Mr Thackeray has been in electronics for over 30 years working with global industry leaders.

Andy Buckworth, who is centre manager at TTE in Peterlee, County Durham, has joined the Peterlee and Seaham business park groups’ steering committee.
The committee is made up of East Durham business representatives who share a common desire to support the area’s continued development and prosperity.
Mr Buckworth was tempted back to TTE, which specialises in fabrication, welding and business improvement techniques, at the start of 2019 to head up the East Durham facility, which is the former Infinite Learning and Development centre that was acquired by Teesside-based TTE last year.
He said: “There are so many fantastic things happening across East Durham, but there is still so much more that can be done to support business growth, including bringing industry and education together. That is something I am hugely passionate about.
“In my time at TTE I have been very impressed with the drive and determination of businesses in the area to celebrate their success and shout about everything that’s fantastic about East Durham’s thriving business community, which perhaps people don’t fully appreciate until they come here.

Jack Walton is fulfilling his ambition to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather as a livestock auctioneer with his first full-time role at Hexham and Northern Marts.
Mr Walton, 21, has joined the Hexham-based auction company as trainee auctioneer after graduating in rural land management from the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester.
His involvement with auction marts began at Worcester market when he was just 13 and his first try at auctioneering was when he was 14, selling a gold pocket watch which topped the sale of household goods for Howkins and Harrison in Rugby.
When he was 18 he raised £7,400 for the RABI and RSABI (Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution) by visiting 25 markets from Dingwall to Truro, selling a pen of sheep at each market.
He said: “I have always wanted to be like my grandfather Michael Walton and one of my big aims was to sell Suffolk tups in front of him which I was able to do at Hexham in October,” said Jack. “He had a big smile on his face so he must have thought I did a good job.”
“I love having the adrenalin rush when you are selling and working for the vendor - but it’s not just about the selling, it’s the whole aspect of auctioneering - the community spirit. I really enjoy going to farms and talking to farmers,” he said.

Middleton Enterprises, one of the North East’s top investment firms, has appointed David Alprovich as chief operating officer.
Mr Alprovich, joined Middleton Enterprises from Brewin Dolphin as commercial assistant and rose through the ranks to his new role as the business expanded.
