People on the move: Top North East appointments and promotions

Companies announcing new arrivals this week include Muckle LLP, Hay & Kilner and Artech Lighting

Newcastle law firm Muckle LLP has appointed Scott Cable to its growing real estate dispute resolution team.

Mr Cable, who has 15 years of experience in property disputes and joins Muckle as partner, will be working alongside partner and head of real estate dispute resolution Charlotte McMurchie, senior associate Jennifer Pearson, associate Sarah Barratt and solicitors Charlotte Dickinson and Matthew Brady.

He said: “When the opportunity came up to join Muckle, it was a chance I couldn’t turn down. Everyone I know speaks so highly of them, and as a team ranked top in its sector by Legal 500 º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, the quality of my new Real Estate Dispute Resolution colleagues is self-evident. Medical and safety technology firm Draeger Safety º£½ÇÊÓÆµ has appointed David Head as head of safety marketing.

Mr Head, whose career in the sector spans 16 years, has worked with Dräger for eight years and was previously a senior marketing manager at the firm. The new role will see him lead º£½ÇÊÓÆµ marketing for the company’s range of technology and equipment, which includes portable breathing apparatus, gas detection systems and drug and alcohol testing and PPE equipment (PPE). It will also see him join the company’s commercial leadership team.

Mr Head said: “Dräger is one of the most highly-regarded global brands when it comes to workplace safety, and the knowledge, experience and expertise that exists within the business offers huge potential to grow brand awareness and market share here in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ over the coming months and years. I’m delighted to have been appointed to this new role, and I’m excited about working with colleagues to achieve some of the ambitious plans we have to develop Dräger’s connected and digital safety offering.

Artech Lighting has welcomed Daniel Renforth as its new regional sales manager.

Mr Renforth joins the firm’s Durham City head office with 11 years’ experience in the lighting industry, having worked in East Anglia, Yorkshire and nationally. Mr Renforth is returning to his roots for the role, having been born and bred in Gosforth and attending Northumbria University before work commitments saw him move to Manchester in 2016.
