RMT Accountants and Business Advisors is scaling up to meet client demand by adding 11 new recruits to its growing team.
The independent Gosforth-based firm has made the appointments across various departments after increasing its work with existing clients and winning several new contracts with well-known regional businesses and organisations.
Nick Dalton is now part of RMT’s audit team, while Sarah Hopper, Amy Wu and Ashley Hayes have all joined the firm’s specialist healthcare division, which is one of the 海角视频’s leading specialist medical and healthcare accountancy practices and has the largest dedicated team outside London.
Roseann McGovern has joined the firm’s personal tax team, Brad Stewart and Sara Dent are working in accounts roles, and Alan Green is part of the firm’s technology support division, RMT Technology.
Helen Simmons and Margaret Pringle are both working within RMT’s payroll services team, and Libby White has joined the administration team.
Mike Pott, managing director at RMT, added: “We enjoyed strong growth in 2019 and have made a very encouraging start to the new year, with increasing numbers of clients looking for us to take on many of their core business functions, including accounting services, payroll and technology management.”
Gateshead digital marketing agency Mediaworks has appointed 15 new members of staff.
The appointments will take the agency to 115 employees and will support its core business services, which have recently secured high-end clients such as Heidi Klein, The High Street Group and Quickbooks.

North East law firm Muckle LLP has recruited another solicitor to its expanding agriculture team.
William Green, an experienced rural and private client specialist, has been appointed as a consultant, enhancing the already significant expertise offered by the firm’s agriculture, estates and rural property team.

Ashleigh Tokarski has joined as an associate and Dan Matthews is a senior surveyor. They are both working alongside partner Kevin Scully in the valuation and advisory team.
Ms Tokarski has more than 10 years’ experience, having previously worked as an associate director in the development consultancy team at Cushman and Wakefield. She was also previously an estates officer at Durham County Council and a surveyor at DTZ, where she started her career in commercial property.
Mr Matthews has joined from Sanderson Weatherall where he was a chartered surveyor and valuer.

Newcastle’s Surgo Construction has announced the appointment of a new senior estimator.
Richard Walsh joins the team with responsibility for managing and winning tenders for the company, as well as assisting the estimating team in the day-to-day running of project costings.
He said: “I’m delighted to have joined Surgo as they have an excellent reputation in the marketplace. I have worked in a variety of tendering roles in civil engineering and building for regional and global contractors, so my experience aligns perfectly with my newly found role at Surgo.”

Commercial contracts expert Paul Armstrong has signed up for a new career challenge with North East law firm Hay & Kilner.
Mr Armstrong has joined the Newcastle-headquartered firm’s corporate and commercial team after spending a decade with the in-house legal team at Virgin Money in Gosforth, where he worked on a range of commercial contracts and corporate projects.
