People on the Move: Top new North East appointments of the week

Firms in communications, manufacturing and professional services have been hiring

Newcastle creative communications agency O has announced six new hires following a raft of client wins.

The appointments include Tracy Appleby as head of creative studio, to lead O’s growing creative team which includes brand development, graphic design, animation and videography.

Other new faces include account managers Rachel Hodgson, Emma Roberts and Laura Watson and account executives Thomas Pearson and Andrea Dromard.

Founder of O Communications, Kari Owers said: “We have remained focused throughout the last year on supporting our clients in the best way possible as they have had to pivot or adapt their services, or indeed face growth challenges in some sectors. We have adapted ourselves as a business so we rebranded this month with a new look and website O that represents the integrated creative services we offer now.”

Hart Doors has made two senior appointments in its sales team.

The Newcastle business has appointed David Mason as national sales and service manager, and Brian Woodcock as area sales manager for the Midlands and South West.

Managing director Nick Hart said: “We have had a strong year across both º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and export sectors. With scheduled retirements we have had a timely opportunity to recruit to the senior management team.

“As we move forward, with growing the business very much in mind, attracting very good people is essential.”
