Biofuels supply chain operator Brocklesby Ltd has welcomed a new managing director and financial director as it gears up for growth.
Owner Robert Brockesby has made way for Neil Taylor at the helm, with Iain Jennison also arriving at North Cave.

Neil joins the company after 14 years as managing director of holiday home chassis specialist Bankside Patterson, the Brandesburton business that was last year bought out by DexJKo Global.
He said: “Despite the challenges Brocklesby has faced since the end of last year with the fire and a global pandemic, the business is well placed to grow and expand its position within the sector and I’m delighted to have joined the team at this exciting time.

Iain arrives after more than 20 years in various finance positions within the fast moving consumer goods, textiles, automotive and leisure industries.
Most recently he was finance director at online retail specialist Summit Media Ltd.

KCom has appointed a new head of HR.

Denise Chong will take the newly badged role of chief people officer as it looks to embed a culture of opportunity.
She had strong high level human resources experience in pharmaceutical and healthcare.
Technology background comes from a significant period spent with Nortel Networks, where she held a number of director-level roles.

Soanes Poultry
Soanes Poultry has appointed Simon Rodgers to the new position of operations manager.
He joins the East Yorkshire firm from Malton Foods to work with the senior management team to oversee all operations at the Middleton-on-the-Wolds site.
Mr Rodgers said: “It’s a very exciting time to be joining Soanes and I’m looking forward to working for a forward looking business that prides itself on provenance, customer service quality and high standards of animal welfare.

Andrew Jackson
Regional law firm Andrew Jackson Solicitors has made three new appointments within its private client team.
The Hull headquartered firm has welcomed Geraldine Martin as partner in the tax and trusts team, with Elizabeth Dunn and Jannie Weeks also joining as a solicitor and paralegal, respectively.
Geraldine brings more than 20 years of experience in advising clients on a wide range of matters including wills, trusts and the administration of high net worth estates.
She said: “I am excited to join a firm that has made such great strides regionally, nationally and overseas, yet remains committed to delivering a service with personal care and attention at its heart. Frontier Modular Services
Frontier Modular Services has appointed Adam Millikin as operations manager.
Previously construction manager at Ideal Modular Homes, he has joined directors Rich Pooley and Lindsey Nicklin to further strengthen the senior team at the Hornsea business, following strong growth since the 2017 launch.
Mr Pooley said: “Adam and I worked together for a number of years when we were both learning our trade and it’s a huge pleasure to now welcome him into our management team as one of the country’s most skilled and reputable operations managers.”
His role will encompass business development, contract negotiation and management, and all aspects of client liaison and care.

Wilkin Chapman
Lawyers Sarah Elizabeth Kemp and Laura Fahy have been made senior solicitors at the Beverley office of Wilkin Chapman
Sarah is an experienced corporate and commercial solicitor, and has been busy advising owner-managed businesses throughout the lockdown period, in particular assisting those within the tourism industry.
With clients continuing to face issues surrounding coronavirus, and with Brexit on the horizon, Sarah advises her growing client base upon not only the practical day-to-day commercial issues but also mergers and acquisitions, development and restructure, and succession planning for the short-and-long-term future.
“There is a huge opportunity for us to grow and build our network here," she said. "When you examine Beverley and the wider East Yorkshire area, there is an excellent network of businesses trading in a diverse mix of commerce and industry, both locally and nationally. Many nationwide firms have their headquarters here in East Yorkshire.
“As a senior solicitor it is my aim to continue to promote the services, expertise and knowledge of the area that our Beverley office has to offer."
Laura joined the team in 2016, two years before Sarah, bringing extensive experience within her chosen field of wills, estates, tax and trusts.
One of three Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners qualified solicitors in the office, her knowledge extends over more than a decade. She has a keen interest in estate and succession planning, which involves assisting individuals, farmers and other business owners to achieve the most tax efficient outcome.
“I very much look forward to taking on more responsibility in a number of different areas. I joined Wilkin Chapman due to the firm’s great reputation and that remains today,” she said.
Pagabo
National construction framework provider Pagabo has appointed a first regional relationship manager for the north of England.
Karen Carter joins Hull-based Pagabo with a remit to support the business’ growth.
Having worked within the construction sector for the last 10 years, she specialises in the development of industry-leading strategies.
She said: “Over the last decade I have developed a real love for the construction industry and all it has to offer. Being part of the first collaborative construction frameworks within the North East was a great experience and one which has put me in good stead in my career. I’ve worked in public sector procurement for more than ten years before dipping into the contractor side of bidding for the past three years.
“In my last two roles, I became increasingly aware of Pagabo’s growing success and when I discovered the team was searching for a new regional relationship manager it caught my attention. After a discussion with (chief executive) Simon Toplass about the role and the company it felt like the right next step for my career and I’m really thrilled to be part of the team.”
She is inspired by the forward thinking approach, with the developer-led framework and support for mental health catching her eye.
Mr Toplass welcomed her expertise in community engagement. “We are absolutely delighted to welcome her to the team and feel very fortunate that she is joining at such an exciting time for us as a company,” he said.
Rollits
Newly qualified solicitor Lucy Trynka has joined law firm Rollits’ employment team after completing her training.
Working across Hull and York offices, it follows a two-year training period, taking in various departments.
Lucy said: “As a trainee solicitor I have really enjoyed the challenge of working across the many different areas of law and adapting to the differing needs of each discipline but I’m looking forward very much to concentrating on the specialist work of a single department and putting my experience into practice.”
A former student at Hymers College in Hull, she gained her LLB Hons at Newcastle University in 2017 and then completed a one-year Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Leeds, which she passed with distinction, before joining Rollits.
Ralph Gilbert, managing partner, said: “Lucy has made excellent progress during her two years as a trainee and we are delighted that her achievements have led to this appointment. “Lucy becomes the sixth member of our employment team and we are confident she will make an important contribution at a time when the department’s workload is expanding.”
Associate Suzgo Kaluluma has also become a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
He joined the firm in 2019. Bringing a decade of experience from a Wetherby firm.

Vistry Group
Megan Marshall has crowned a move from dentistry to new build developments after being promoted to marketing manager for Vistry Group in Yorkshire.
The newly formed entity combines Linden Homes and Bovis Homes, with Megan having joined the former and undertaken a range of roles after making an impact as a receptionist, after searching for a new challenge.
Megan, from Anlaby, said: “I worked in dentistry for just under eight years and held a variety of posts from patient co-ordinator, interim practice manager and infection control lead.
“I decided I wanted a career change, but I was so used to providing a service that I wanted to be in an industry that supplied something significant to the public.”
She has worked as sales executive in East Riding and sales administration at head office, with a spell as acting marketing manager for Linden Home East Yorkshire prior to the creation of the new entity.
Sales director Steve Woomble said: “My huge congratulations to Megan on her richly-deserved promotion for a role she has been doing effectively and successfully for some time. Megan is a ‘doer’ and is willing and able to take on and deliver a wide range of marketing and other responsibilities and is a hugely valued member of our team.”
BoardroomAdvisors
Hull-based Leigh Everingham has been appointed as new regional director for BoardroomAdvisors.co.uk - a company that helps SMEs scale up by providing access to experienced business leaders.
He will take on the role for Yorkshire for the Bristol-based operation, aiming to disrupt the recruitment market.
Leigh has held senior roles for Canon 海角视频 in the north of England before working as group managing director for a regional SME, while also running his own businesses in energy and technology.
BoardroomAdvisors aims to fill gaps in management teams with a talent pool of part-time directors for commercial, operations and chief executive roles.
