People on the Move: the latest North East business appointments this week

A raft of new appointments have been revealed in businesses involved in the creative, health and fitness, retail, engineering and procurement sectors

Newcastle based agency Status Digital has strengthened its team with eight new hires following a period of growth.

Based at Maling Exchange, Hoults Yard, the eight-year-old business helps ambitious businesses to better understand their customers, so they can design services and products that serve up lasting business improvements.

Programme director Kathryn Blight and business manager Roxanne Tuck join the senior management team .

They are joined by three new junior front-end developers, graduates Alex Megahy, Daniel Carrick and Kenneth Shek, alongside junior web designer Nooshin Taravati. Kori Hanson, a Newcastle College graduate, joins as a UX/UI designer, with Russ Phillips coming on board as a support developer, after a career spent at Newcastle University and Virgin Money.

Managing director, Nick Salloway, said: “We are delighted to have the recruits on board. They bring with them a range of skills and experience to complement the expertise of our existing team. Importantly, they are curious and share our vision to continuously innovate, to think outside the box and find solutions that fit our modern and ever-evolving world.”

Rapidly expanding Bloom Procurement Services has announced the appointment of Adam Crampsie as managing director.

Mr Crampsie’s appointment comes at a time of considerable growth for Bloom, including its recent appointment by Nepo (the North East Procurement Organisation) to deliver the multibillion-pound Nepro public sector procurement solution.

Mr Crampsie who was previously head of commercial for the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ’s leading healthcare charity, Nuffield Health, said: “I have joined Bloom at an extremely exciting time for the business. With the launch of a new technology platform and the Nepro solution, the business is set for continued growth over the next five years. I’m thrilled to be joining the company to lead a fantastic team of people and I’m really looking forward to building on their incredible success to date.”
