People on the move: key North East appointments and promotions

Durham accountancy firm Mullen Stoker has appointed former apprentice Courtney Lynn as its new office co-ordinator.

Ms Lynn, 21, has completed a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship since joining the company, prompting directors to reward her with a full time role of office co-ordinator, based at the head office at Mandale Business Park at Belmont. As well as general administrative and office support, she will also manage Mullen Stoker’s social media platforms.

She said: “I am loving my time at Mullen Stoker, and now that I have finished my apprenticeship I’m really looking forward to supporting the directors and the team with all of their administrative needs. It’s an exciting time for the business as we continue to grow across the region, and I’m confident that my role will be invaluable within the practice.”

Recruitment specialist greenbean has added to its senior leadership team by appointing Dean Durrant as associate director of client solutions. Mr Durrant has more than two decades of expertise in recruitment and talent management, and his appointment is a planned move to lead the expansion of greenbean’s strategic hiring division.

Law firm for business Muckle LLP has boosted its construction team by retaining newly qualified solicitor Zi Chuen Gwi. Before joining Muckle in November 2021 Ms Chuen Gwi studied bar at Northumbria University and later completed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) course online via BARBRI. She is among just the second group of students to successfully pass the SQE exam.

She will now work closely with the firm’s partners to provide valuable support to clients in reviewing and creating construction-related documents. This includes tasks such as professional appointments, collateral warranties, construction reports and commercial contracts.
