Deloitte has appointed a new partner, an associate partner and four new directors in its Newcastle office.
The accountancy firm has also appointed a new director to its tax and legal team. Across the 海角视频, Deloitte has promoted 124 people to partner – a 57% increase on last year. In the Newcastle office a total of 79 people have been promoted.
Based at the recently opened Newcastle office the new partner is Mick Jeffrey, the associate partner is Paul Hewitson and the new directors are Jo Robertson and Andrew Horn in tax and legal, Heather Younger in financial advisory and Suzanne Green in audit and assurance. The new externally hired director Is Mark Lockey.
Mr Jeffrey, part of the audit and assurance team, has extensive experience of working within all key industry sectors and in particular the chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors.

Holly Jackson is the latest recruit to join the interior design team at Dakota House of Design in Newcastle.
About to graduate with a BA (Hons) in Interior Design, her new role as a junior designer sees Ms Jackson creating mood boards, liaising with clients and assisting other members of the design team day-to -day.
She said: “When Dakota approached the university wanting to hire one of its graduates, I applied instantly as I had always had my eye on the company from when I first moved to Newcastle. Additionally, I had always wanted to live in Newcastle, so it was a simple decision.

“I really enjoy producing initial designs that get the client excited and seeing that vision come to life, adding my creative spin on designs. Having a job in the industry now means I get to see my ideas developed, which never happened at university.”
North East tech firm Excelpoint has made five appointments to its team.
Ed Wyllie and Luke McNaughton have joined as software developers, Parry Jenkins has become strategic business consultant and Charlie Auld and Lee Dodgson have become apprentice software support technician and apprentice business consultant.

PwC has announced the appointment of Richard Podd as the new market senior partner for its Newcastle office.
A tax partner, Mr Podd has been with the firm for almost 21 years, having joined PwC as a graduate.
Jonathan Greenaway, who is stepping down as market senior partner for Newcastle after four years in the role, has been instrumental in guiding PwC’s offering in the North East through the pandemic, and growing the team in the Newcastle office. Mr Greenaway will now be taking on a regional role within the firm's Audit function.

Water supplier Everflow has appointed Jennifer Ioannidou as head of product to lead the company’s new product department.
Ms Ioannidou will spearhead the business’ product strategy and help to deliver a product centric approach to achieve the company’s growth ambitions for 2022 and beyond. She has been brought in to create a pipeline of new products that improve customer experience and make utilities simpler for brokers and businesses using Everflow’s services.

Knight Frank Newcastle has made a hat trick of appointments to its 76-strong team including an experienced commercial property investment specialist, and two surveyors.
Katy Blair has joined Knight Frank as a senior surveyor in the capital markets team, led by Dickon Wood. Adam Sanderson is a graduate surveyor in building consultancy and Nathan Douglas is working alongside Patrick Matheson in office agency.
Ms Blair, who previously held senior surveyor positions at the Valuation Office Agency and Cushman and Wakefield, will be working on investment deals on behalf of corporate clients including Paloma Capital, Praxis, New River Capital, Olnato and Adderstone Property Group, and a number of private investors.
