Gateshead cloud solutions and managed services provider Synergi has made a series of key appointments ahead of a new recruitment drive.
New marketing manager Katy Bernstein’s new role will involve delivering a marketing strategy to spearhead growth in a marketplace where organisations in all sectors are looking to seize the competitive advantages that cloud services offer.
Steve Holt joins as a customer success manager, and his role will see him support the sales team and help clients experience a smooth transition to onboarding.
Other new appointments include Alex Noddings, junior developer; Heidi Joynson, marketing executive; Jen Young, accounts; Lee Richardson, managed services consultant; and Matthew Harding, test engineer.
Synergi CEO Peter Joynson said: “Our latest team members will add depth and value to our already strong team, and support both our clients and our expansion plans. This growth supports our client acquisition strategy having onboarded over 25 new clients throughout 2020 and is continuing into 2021.”
Expanding pubs-with-rooms operator The Inn Collection Group has appointed David Campbell as operations director.
Mr Campbell, who was operations director at The Coaching Inn Group, joins the 23-site group at a pivotal time as the company begins a new phase of business expansion through acquisitions and organic growth.
Mr Campbell has more than 25 years’ experience in the trade and was part of the senior teams at Greene King and Mitchells & Butlers.

Housebuilder Story Homes has recruited Stuart Morgan as a new land director.
Allan Thompson, managing director for Story Homes in the North East said: “Stuart brings with him over 18 years of experience in land and property development across the north of England and his knowledge and expertise will be instrumental as we continue to push forward with our growth plans across the North East.”

Fiona Macleod has been appointed as managing director of Lynemouth Power Station in Northumberland.
Ms Macleod, a chartered engineer, brings experience in major capital projects, engineering, maintenance, operations and process safety.

She has held various senior leadership positions and is currently a governor of Teesside University and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) where she chairs an international safety committee (LPB).
Ms Macleod said: “I am tremendously impressed by the scale of the investment made at Lynemouth as well as at our Port of Tyne facilities. The conversion to biomass has certainly been a huge turning point for the power station, its workforce and the wider North East region, creating a new chapter from which to move forward and play an integral role in the country’s renewable energy production.”
Aberdein Considine has boosted staff numbers in Newcastle as part of a major recruitment push following a period of significant growth.
The law firm has recruited 17 new members of staff in its Newcastle office in recent months after securing new clients last year, including major 海角视频 retail banks.
Senior hires have included Tahir Bashir who joins as the operations manager, with Craig Scott taking on the role of training and competency manager. As well as new IT appointments, including software development and data specialists, Hayley Jennings has also been recruited as the firm’s customer contact team leader.

An independent business finance firm has expanded into the North East market after making a strategic senior appointment.
PMD Business Finance, which is based in Manchester and brokers over £150m of lending each year for 海角视频 businesses, has appointed Cole O’Malley to head up its North East operations.
Mr O’Malley, who is based near Newcastle, joins PMD as business development director with over 20 years in the finance industry, including senior roles with RBS Group. He will be supported in the region by PMD’s business development manager Zak German.
He said: “I’m thrilled to have been given the opportunity to lead PMD’s continued expansion in the North East market with the aim of building strong and lasting relationships with the region’s professional community, SMEs, and plant, machinery and asset suppliers.”
