Senior promotions at Birmingham office of financial services firm, PR agency adds four new faces and brokerage appoints new chief executive

New partners and directors appointed to the Birmingham office of PwC

Financial services firm PwC has boosted its Birmingham team with a brace of partner promotions and 15 staff stepping up to director level.

The new partners based in the city are Tom Copeland in the corporate finance deals team and Sarah Phillips in the audit practice.

Mr Copeland leads the national consumer sector team within corporate finance and has over 12 years of experience of both sell-side and buy-side advisory, working extensively with privately owned and private equity-backed businesses on º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and cross-border transactions.

Ms Phillips is an audit partner, specialising in listed and multinational audits.

Alongside working with many of the Midlands based listed companies, she also leads consumer markets for the Midlands, bringing 18 years of experience of working with a broad range of clients, supporting them through transactions, organisational and regulatory change.

The 15 employees promoted to director level in Birmingham are Alex Smith (audit), Nick Durrans and Viswanathan Swaminathan (consulting), Krushi Hindocha, Neil Houston and Tim Higgins (deals), Victoria Broadhurst (internal firm services), Anoop Gandhi, Christian Hilpert, Emma Brittain and Vanessa Tufnell (risk) Matt Hughes, Reena Fursier and Tracey Crowder (tax) and Simon Wootton (technology and investment).

PwC said it was experiencing client demand in fields such as environmental, social and governance, with partners increasingly focused on net zero strategy, diversity and inclusion priorities, corporate governance and transformation.
