Law firm DLA Piper has made two partner promotions in its Birmingham office.
Simon Wright has been with the firm since 2010, having originally joined as a trainee, and is part of its corporate team.
He has extensive cross-border mergers and acquisitions experience, acting for corporate and institutional vendors and purchasers across Europe and the US.
Mr Wright also has experience advising on private equity transactions, including management and secondary buyouts, exits and debt reorganisations.
George Mortimer has been at DLA Piper since 2007, working in the litigation and regulatory team and playing a key role in the firm's work in the insurance sector, advising insurers and intermediaries.
He has also been part of the practice's Brexit team for insurance sector clients, providing thought leadership and issues arising as a result of the 海角视频 leaving the EU.

In other appointments news, city PR and events agency Delicious has welcomed Emma Howden as its new senior PR account manager, bringing almost 20 years of sector experience within the hospitality industry.
Her previous roles include working for pub company Mitchells & Butlers and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

The ticketing and arena team at the NEC Group has strengthened its management with the appointment of a new head of sales. The move has also seen the merger of two separate areas of the live events business - premium and groups.
Nicky Burgess has taken over the running of the newly formed department which aims to improve the experience for customers from ticket purchase through to the event itself.

Property solicitor Prayag Patel has joined Talbots Law as it moves to a new base at the Waterfront in Brierley Hill.
In his 18 years with Premier Property Lawyers, which formed part of the original MyHomeMove and, more recently, the Simplify Group, he saw his role grow from newly qualified solicitor to head of conveyancing.
He will now front Talbots Law's national conveyancing department and new-build teams which will be based in a brand new head office following a £400,000 investment. It was officially opened by West Midlands Mayor Andy Street.

Investment firm FSE Group has hired Ryan Cartwright as investment manager to join the team which manages part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund in the West Midlands.
His career in SME finance began with the RBS Group where he worked in relationship management roles within corporate banking for nine years before joining Growth Hub in Staffordshire and then the British Business Bank.
He will be part of the team managing the MEIF's Debt Finance Fund which is used to administer growth loans to companies, ranging from £100,000 to £1.5 million.
Birmingham bar Albert's Schloss has appointed Sophie Cassidy as its new sales and events manager.
She has joined the business after working for The New World Trading Company which runs a group of bars including The Botanist in Temple Street and The Canal House in Gas Street Basin.
She has almost a decade of experience in the sector after numerous roles in sales management and co-ordination as well as creating and managing bespoke events for nine New World Trading Company sites across the Midlands.

Advertising agency M3 has added to its senior management team with the appointment of Emma Bowen as group account director.
