Industrial inspection and testing specialist IrisNDT buys out James Fisher division

Market-leading position eyed by industrial operators

Non-destructive testing specialist IrisNDT has swooped for fellow provider James Fisher NDT in an undisclosed deal.

The Immingham-headquartered º£½ÇÊÓÆµ arm of the Canadian multinational has agreed the purchase of the division of the North West maritime giant.

Based in Deeside, Wales, it has served the aerospace, defence, automotive, petrochemical, utilities and nuclear markets since 2006, offering a wide array of field and laboratory non-destructive testing services.

It will continue to operate from a state-of-the-art 33,000 sq ft facility, that includes eight radiographic bays, and was opened by the Welsh First Minister in 2015.
