Health and safety specialist heads west as pandemic growth follows recession launch

MNA Group has opened a new office in Bradford and recruited four new employees

Dave Rose and Mark Newman, directors of MNA Group.

Health and safety specialist MNA Group has expanded, opening a second office and adding four new hires.

The Goole-headquartered business, launched in 2005, has opted for Bradford as a base as it grows a strong client portfolio nationwide.

And the company, that serves the likes of Howden’s Joinery, Greencore Group and Press Association, has also enhanced the range of working at height solutions it offers.

Director Dave Rose said: “2020 has been a difficult year for so many businesses and, like most people, we really didn’t know how we’d be affected by a global pandemic. However, looking back, we launched the business three years before the recession of 2008 and

somehow managed to keep it growing. I think the fact that we’ve managed to replicate that during this current period of economic uncertainty is down to our ability to identify new opportunities to develop the services that we offer and because we pride ourselves on the amount of repeat business we get from our customers.”

One of the new recruits is Richard Bloodworth, who joins as sales director.

He brings a wealth of experience in the roofing and cladding sector, which means that MNA Group can now offer roof safety systems, roof access ladders and industrial roofing services. These developments have further bolstered the building and construction arm of the business, which has grown significantly in recent years.

Mark Newman, also a director, said: “We were delighted to welcome Richard to the team because he has years of experience as a national sales manager in the roofing and cladding sector behind him, which gives us even greater expertise in that area.
