A long-established building consultancy headquartered in Newcastle has been acquired by a national firm.
Summers-Inman, which is based at Great Park and has a network of eight regional officers, has been acquired by Bellrock. a £200m turnover business backed by investment firm Sun European Partners. The company employs 130 people working in sectors such as industrials, residential, health, education and utilities, with clients including McDonalds and Philips.
The company said the acquisition would mark a “a significant step forward for Summers-Inman, enhancing our capabilities and creating new opportunities for our clients”. It said joining Bellrock would allow it to offer new services to its clients.

Summers-Inman’s most recent accounts, covering an 11-month period to the end of March 2024, report turnover of £12.1m and operating profit of £2.6m. The company operates in quantity surveying, project management, construction management, building surveying and health, safety and environmental work.
Property specialists Bellrock was founded in 2003 and has grown through a series of investments. The company is headquartered in London with 11 offices around the country and a team of 1,800 professionals. Its clients include NHS trusts, universities, government bodies, and companies includeing Costa, Pizza Express, and Marks & Spencer.
