New chief executive at PM Connect and more appointment news

Industry veteran has joined mobile payments firm, four new faces at PR agency and CEO appointed at trade body

A mobile payments firm has welcomed a new chief executive as part of changes to its senior team.

Longbridge-based PM Connect has appointed Kevin Dawson as group chief executive, bringing with him more than 20 years of industry experience.

Starting his career at Orange, Mr Dawson has held positions at 3Com, TalkTalk and Vodafone before joining Dynamic Mobile Billing where he worked for 11 years including five as chief executive.

The appointment is part of a newly revamped executive team that sees the company's co-founder James Macfarlane move to the role of president.

He said: "I am very proud of the growth and development PM Connect has experienced during my time as chief executive as we deliver on our mission of making in-demand content accessible to all. I am even more excited about the coming years and bringing Kevin on board will help catalyse that vision.

"I have known Kevin for a long time as an industry peer and am delighted with the prospect of working with him to help drive us to new heights."
