Maintenance, compliance and construction contractor Novus Property Solutions has announced the appointment of Steve Davies as chief executive officer.
Steve has previously held managing director roles in Serco Group plc, Compass Group plc and Kier Group plc.
His last role in the construction industry was as group business development and customer service director of Kier Group plc and in his most recent venture, Steve was founder and managing director of two consultancy firms.
In his role as CEO, Steve will lead Novus towards achieving its ambitious five-year growth targets, which include doubling profits by 2026.
Steve said: "I am both excited and proud to be joining Novus at this important and exciting time in its history, and it is a real privilege and honour to be trusted by the Seddon family to be their chief executive officer.
"Having laid an impressive foundation in the key areas of housing, healthcare and education throughout its long history, I am very much looking forward to driving continued growth and profitability across Novus' core business sectors and targeted new markets.

Elswhere, digital agency Netbiz Group has added three new members to its team as part of its business growth strategy.

The Newcastle-under-Lyme company – which offers website design and development, PPC, search engine optimisation, social media and digital marketing as well as PR and branding – has welcomed Selina Talbot and Melissa Soleimani as account managers and Ian Bailey as digital marketer.
The recent recruitment drive is a result of a record sales year for Netbiz Group in 2020 despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

Charlotte will also support the BID's new manager – Alex Taylor – who started last month.
