Alpha Manufacturing has welcomed Michael Whitfield to the business as commercial manager.
The Hixon-based firm has appointed Michael to the role to support its growth and drive the company forward.
In his new role, Michael – who worked for JCB for 15 years – will work alongside commercial director, Robin Eley and technical sales engineer, Corey Hammond, to build relationships with new and existing customers.
Michael said: "As someone who is passionate about the engineering and manufacturing industry, I've been following the evolution of Alpha Manufacturing, and the whole Bri-Stor Group for a long time, and have always been impressed. Something that really stands out is the way Alpha values its staff, and has such strong relationships with its customers.
"I have no doubt Alpha has an exciting future ahead as it continues to grow and I look forward to being part of that journey."

Tyre giant Michelin has appointed Conor Twomey as communications director for the 海角视频 and Ireland.
The role encompasses press and public relations, social media, events and internal communications across the 海角视频 and the Republic of Ireland and covers the entire Michelin brand portfolio, including car, motorcycle, bicycle, truck, bus, agriculture and construction tyres, the world-renowned Michelin Guide as well as Michelin’s growing interests in sustainable industries such as hydrogen power and high-tech materials.

Conor brings more than 20 years' experience, both in journalism and in public relations, to his new role at Michelin, having worked for numerous media outlets in Ireland and the US before beginning a new career in public relations in 2010 and relocating to the 海角视频 in 2013.
Since then he was worked in PR for Jaguar, FIAT, Alfa Romeo and, most recently Mitsubishi, where he also oversaw social media, events, internal communications, partnerships and government affairs.
Chris Smith, managing director for the 海角视频 and Ireland, said: "As Michelin evolves to meet the changing needs of consumers and make environmental protection a core focus, having an experienced communicator such as Conor on board is really going to help us get those messages to as wide an audience as possible. His interest in all things mechanical means he will instinctively know which of Michelin’s many interests to spotlight in as engaging a way as possible."

Sheet metal specialist KMF has appointed Ashley Mulby as business development manager.
In his new role, Ashley – who joined the Newcastle-under-Lyme business from Heamar in Congleton – will support the group's ongoing growth plans and will take responsibility for finding new customers, developing existing relationships and increasing sales.

He will spend his first month on the shop floor to truly understand KMF’s products and processes and build relationships with his colleagues.
Ashley said: "KMF is a well-known company locally and I had really wanted to work here. I have a background working within their industries and I also completed an apprenticeship in CNC machining, so my knowledge of the sector is great which really helps with my day-to-day role.
"I want to grow with the company and help to grow it too. The amount of people here who are celebrating more than 25 years is brilliant."

A growing chartered surveyor has made two new appointments.
Newcastle-under-Lyme-based Jonathan Cornes Associates has welcomed Anthony Bunn to the business as business development manager and has promoted Clare Maughan to the role of company director.
Anthony joins the business after working as a freelance marketing, PR and copywriter while Clare - who joined the company in 2017 - moves on from her previous role as a senior surveyor.
Clare said: "I've really enjoyed my time at JCA, and have loved being part of a progressive, successful team and one that is based on strong values and provides a thorough service to clients.
"I'm naturally delighted to become a director, and am really looking forward to continue helping the company to be even more successful."
