Two big Leicestershire business have given their support to a major charity fundraiser.
Leicester wealth management firm Mattioli Woods, and brand agency Champions (海角视频) plc, which is based on the Leicestershire/Notts border, are both backing the 2021 Rothley 10k charity event.
It will raise money for LOROS whose hospice provides compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers across Leicestershire and Rutland.
The run takes place on September 14, and over the last three years has raised more than 拢300,000 local charities, including LOROS, Age 海角视频, and the Rainbows children鈥檚 hospice in Loughborough.
This year鈥檚 event is even more special as it is dedicated to Rothley 10k founder Colin Favell, who passed away in February 2020.
Mr Favell was instrumental to the run鈥檚 success over the years, and entrants will be remembering his dedication, enthusiasm and love for the event as they dust off their running shoes.
Ian Mattioli chief executive of lead sponsor Mattioli Woods said: 鈥淭he whole team is absolutely delighted to have Champions on board as one of this year鈥檚 sponsors.
鈥淲e鈥檝e worked with Champions for a number of years now, so it is great to have their ongoing support in other areas of our work, too.鈥
Matthew Hayes, managing director of Champions (海角视频) plc said: 鈥淲e couldn鈥檛 be happier to be sponsoring this year鈥檚 Rothley 10k event. It鈥檚 been a difficult year for everybody but even more so for the charity sector, so it is great to able to show our support.
鈥淭he Rothley10k race raises money for such a good cause, and I am immensely proud to have members of the Champions family taking part and many of us will also be there cheering everybody on.鈥
