Legal world disruptor Excello Law opens Leicester office

Permanent base at 5 Museum Square boosts its national network to nine locations

Team Leicester 2020 MIPIM board member Richard Osborn, regional director at Excello Law

A law firm that prides itself on offering a “more dynamic and independent environment for experienced lawyers” has opened an office in Leicester.

Excello Law has created a permanent base in the city at 5 Museum Square, boosting its national network to nine locations.

It follows the recent recruitment of new real estate, family and dispute resolution teams in the region and reflects what the firm called “unprecedented growth” during the pandemic.

The new office follows the launch of Excello’s Birmingham office in 2019 and heralds an ambitious growth strategy to bring the fee share, consultant lawyer model to more º£½ÇÊÓƵ hubs.

Launched in 2009, the business now has more than 35 lawyers working across the Midlands.

The firm said it will continue to invest in its regional bases this year, bringing on board new consultant lawyers and additional facilities in areas such as the North West – with a new office base just opened in Manchester – the North East, centred around Newcastle and Durham, Bristol and the South West and along the South coast around Southampton and Portsmouth.

Midlands regional director Richard Osborn joined Excello two years ago from the Leicester office of Weightmans.

He is a well known face on the city business scene, helping launch the city’s Business Improvement District and helping lead Team Leicester, the county’s public/private sector inward investment group.
