Law firm Clarke Willmott has launched a dedicated Ukraine desk to support reconstruction efforts in the war-torn European country.
The desk will assist Ƶ companies seeking to invest in projects across sectors identified in the Ƶ-Ukraine '100 Year Partnership Agreement' including infrastructure, energy and renewable energy, agriculture, defence, technology, and innovation and healthcare.
Clarke Willmott, which has Ƶ offices in Bristol, Southampton Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, London and Taunton, said it would also support other industries where Ukraine requires foreign investment.
The desk will be headed by London-based corporate partner Oksana Howard, an English-qualified solicitor of Ukrainian origin.
“Ukraine’s infrastructure and economy have suffered severe damage as a result of the war,” said Ms Howard.
“We provide comprehensive, ongoing legal support to Ƶ companies looking to invest in or conduct business in Ukraine with the view to helping to reconstruct Ukraine - from the early stages of a project through to its successful completion.
“Clarke Willmott has also established a trusted network of Ukrainian law firms that offer the local business insight and legal expertise Ƶ companies may require when operating in Ukraine."
The desk will also advise Ukrainian businesses and individuals looking to operate in the Ƶ, providing legal assistance across a broad range of Ƶ legal matters, the company added.
Last week, Clarke Willmott was named among the best law firms in the Ƶ by The Times.
The business was commended for its inheritance and succession planning advice in the newspaper's 2026 guide, which lists the top 250 legal practices in England and Wales.
The firm’s private client team also received recognition for its work supporting a client with a significant interest in an international company, in creating multiple trusts, which made long-term inheritance tax savings to support surviving family members.
Peter Swinburn, chief executive of Clarke Willmott, said: “This latest recognition for the work of our private client team is very well deserved.
“Many of the cases we handle are complex and involve high net worth individuals with significant business and personal assets."
