A massive global law firm with offices in the US, Middle East and Asia has opened a base in Bristol.

Kennedy's new office at Temple Quay is the 11th º£½ÇÊÓƵ office for the firm, which now has 38 sites around the world.

The company says it plans to recruit locally and the office will also be used for Taunton lawyers who wish to work more flexibly in the region.

The office’s focus will be on professional and financial lines work, along with defendant personal injury.

Nick Thomas, senior partner at Kennedys, said: “Our growth strategy has always been driven by client demand, which has led to our rapid international expansion in recent years.

“But we have remained careful to ensure that our domestic offering – the core of what Kennedys has become – remains at the top of its game.
