Humber occupational health business Latus Group has acquired a West Yorkshire company in a deal to significantly boosts its º£½ÇÊÓƵ reach.

The health specialist, which is based in Hull, has swooped for Brighouse based Peritus Health Management, which it said represents a strategic consolidation within the sector which scales the group’s capacity and geographical reach. Latus was formed in 2017 by former professional rugby league player and current Hull Kingston Rovers board member Jack Latus, and it has grown rapidly to become one of the leading companies in its sector, forecasting a 63% increase in turnover for the year ending March 2026.

It provides tech-enabled occupational health solutions, from general occupational health assessments to highly specialised medical examinations for industries such as offshore and aviation, to over 4,000 clients including Dyson, Ford, and RAC Group. Peritus, meanwhile, is a leading provider of occupational health, health surveillance and occupational hygiene services.

It has delivered consistent growth of 20% year-on-year for the last five years and operates a fleet of 11 mobile health surveillance units. The acquisition of Peritus expands its mobile health surveillance capabilities, while also strengthening its occupational hygiene practice which has seen significant increases in demand.

All 30 Peritus employees have moved to the Latus team and operations will continue to be supported from a new Brighouse-based office, ensuring continuity for customers, clients and staff.

Jack Latus, CEO of Latus Group, said: “This deal marks an exciting step forward in our mission to modernise occupational health. Peritus has earned a strong reputation for quality, integrity, and service and those values are right at the heart of what we’re building at Latus.

“As businesses continue to turn to joined-up, future-ready workplace health solutions, this acquisition enables us to offer clients a broader, more seamless service, from hygiene monitoring through to health surveillance, all in one place and all working together, supporting º£½ÇÊÓƵ businesses to maintain statutory health compliance and beyond.

“By bringing together our strengths, we’re creating a stronger, smarter platform that’s fit for the future of workplace health in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.”
