Havas Media has appointed Stuart Lunn as managing director of its Manchester office as part of a wider investment programme in the regional hub.
The newly-created role will see Lunn lead the firm's
business in key areas outside of London and ensure it remains competitive, reporting to CEO Matt Adams.

Adams said: “Stuart has an impressive depth and breadth of experience, working in agencies, media owners and as a client, and he’s massively well-connected.

With over 20 years’ experience across agencies, media owners, management consulting and client organisations, Lunn has previously held roles at Google, Facebook, OMD, Carat and Yell.
Aldermore
Aldermore Bank has announced two new appointments to its specialist finance team to continue support of SMEs in the north.

Andrew Stringfellow and Danielle Winfield have joined the bank as regional sales managers covering Manchester and Leeds, respectively.
Stringfellow joins from Lloyds Bank, where he was associate director, invoice finance, while Winfield joins from Positive Cashflow, where she was regional sales director covering Yorkshire.

RSM
Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has appointed Rowan Porter as a director in its growing financial due diligence practice across the north.
With over 13 years’ corporate finance experience, Porter joins RSM from Grant Thornton.

Visualsoft
Manchester-based e-commerce and digital marketing agency Visualsoft has announced the appointment of data scientist Kalvin Tan.
The role will see Tan undertake the project of constructing a ‘VS Analytics’ system, which will collate and interpret big data from the firm's platform to gain insight into the e-commerce market for the company and its clients.
The appointment is as part of the company’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Teesside University.
Tan will join the team at its Stockton headquarters having held roles in senior research and analytics at Northumbria University, working on large-scale projects for Northumbria Police and the university itself.

Bathroom Takeaway
An SEO "expert" who has worked for Arsenal FC and Newcastle United has joined Manchester-headquartered bathroom retailer Bathroom Takeaway as national SEO manager.
Peter Wootton joins the retailer following roles at Evolution Design and Ripple Effect, before running his own national consultancy – PWSEO.
Chris Norton, Bathroom Takeaway director, said: “Finding the right SEO Manager was a crucial appointment decision for me as my background is in SEO too.

Cole Waterhouse
Development company Cole Waterhouse has appointed George Smith as planning manager.
Smith joins the eight-strong team at its new offices at 80 Mosley Street from London-based DP9, where he was senior town planner.
In his new role, Smith will liaise with external planning consultants across its schemes to ensure that development timelines are met and projects delivered on time, Cole Waterhouse CEO Damian Flood said.
Flood said: “George is an excellent planner with experience in both surveying and planning practices.
“He will be a real asset to the team as we deliver our current projects in Manchester and London and as we move into new areas of the country."
ADT Workplace
Commercial interior design firm ADT Workplace has appointed a new managing director for the central region as it expands into the midlands.
Julian Lebray will join the firm, headquartered in Middleton, Manchester, following an 11-year stint at Overbury Plc, where he was managing director for the midlands.
ADT Workplace MD David Clemetson said: “Having built our business predominantly in the North West since 2004, more recently we have worked with a number of high profile Midlands-based organisations.
"With a clear opportunity for growth and with Julian on board, we are thrilled to officially launch our operations in this region."
In the role, Lebray will lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver workplaces for organisations of all sizes across the central region and drive the company’s overall business success, the firm said.

North West law firm Primas Law has announced the appointment of new partner Steve Hartley.
Hartley joins the firm, which has offices in Cheshire, Manchester and London, to advance the growth of its corporate and commercial department, the firm said.
He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, funding for acquisitions, joint ventures and shareholder agreements and primarily works with private companies, entrepreneurs, SME’s, owner-managed businesses and family businesses covering the insurance, tech and healthcare industries.
