Global insurance intermediary group Howden has expanded further in Wales via acquisition.
It has acquired Gott & Wynne a general insurance broker based in Llandudno, which specialises in both personal and commercial lines.
The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
Led by Barry Wynne, Michael Clough and Steven Goldsmith, Gott & Wynne has expertise in insurance for Morgan sports cars and classic cars, alongside specialisms in commercial and business insurance, and property insurance. The three directors are remaining with the business under Howden ownership.

Howden also has an office in Swansea and Cardiff, where it recently located to larger premises at the Global Reach office scheme in Cardiff Bay. Howden鈥檚 South Wales operations has grown by 24 staff since it first launched in south Wales in 2023.
Founded in 1994, Howden provides insurance, reinsurance and underwriting services and solutions to clients ranging from private individuals to multinational companies.
The group, which operates in 56 countries, employs 22,000 people and manages premiums totalling more than 拢3bn on behalf of its clients.
It is employee-owned.
