A care home provider with 11 properties across Lincolnshire said it has given its workforce a 10.5 per cent pay increase.

Management at Home From Home Care said all 500 of its staff will have benefitted from the rise in pay from this month, compared to a year ago.

It means that everyone who works for the company and is aged over 18 will be paid a minimum of £11 an hour or £22,880 a year if it is their first job with the business.

The company said that, combined with attendance bonuses for not taking unauthorised absences, entry-level wages have risen to the equivalent of £11.33 per hour or £23,566 per year — a 26 per cent increase.

Home From Home Care provides residential care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex physical and mental health needs, and has homes in places such as Fiskerton, Bardney, Ruskington, Stallingborough and Dorrington.

The business is one of many which have boosted wages in recent months to help staff with the rising cost of living.

Managing director Paul de Savary said: “Families look after one another, and last summer, we became a fully family-owned care provider.

“That’s why we’re supporting our brilliant team by increasing pay across the board.
