A North West law firm has expanded its portfolio of offices by opening a new base in Birmingham.

Liverpool-based Hill Dickinson has launched at Louisa Ryland House in the city's business district, having agreed a deal for 2.500 sq ft of office space.

The arrival of two new corporate law partners, Nick Dawson and Emma Callow, has enabled Hill Dickinson to establish a dedicated presence in the city for the first time.

The pair has joined from Irwin Mitchell where they spearheaded their respective teams' offerings, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.

They are joined by three corporate solicitors, also all from Irwin Mitchell - legal director Matt Smith, senior associate Tom Wisniewski and associate Alexandra Bloomer.

New real estate and real estate litigation teams are also set to join the office in Newhall Street over the next two months.

Hill Dickinson said setting up an office in the Midlands was the next logical step in the firm's regional growth strategy, connecting its growing presence across all the northern regions with London.
