A healthcare administration firm has opened a new office in Bristol which it says will create more than 50 jobs. Healix Health Services acts as a third-party medical claims administrator for insurers, helping businesses to develop healthcare benefit plans. It provides its services to around a fifth of all self-insured corporate healthcare trusts in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.
Healix said the expansion into Bristol, where it will be based at Broad Quay House in the city centre, was driven by record growth it has seen for its healthcare trusts. While no details were provided on where and when the Bristol office will open, the company said it had partly chosen the city for the opportunity to work with talent from its two universities.
The firm said the 50 new roles would gradually be created over the next 15 months. The new recruits will consist of health claims assessors, with administration to be managed on a wider level from the company’s headquarters in Esher, Surrey.
