Midland law firm FBC Manby Bowdler has created a new team to support its personal injury department.

Jackie Devey-Hipkiss, Gurdev Toura and Lee Ilkiw will form a specialist customer support team based at the firm’s Wolverhampton headquarters.

The firm, which also has offices in Willenhall, Shrewsbury, Telford and Bridgnorth, works closely with a number of organisations nationally including the Brain Injury Group.

Tim Gray, partner and head of personal injury at FBC Manby Bowdler, said: “There have been significant changes to personal injury legislation which has seen compensation claims slow down nationally.

“However a recent study from YouGov showed there were a variety of reasons why people didn’t actively make a claim – so we believe that many people who are rightly entitled to compensation for their injuries or illness may be missing out.

“Our new team will be on hand to assist those people who simply aren’t sure whether they have a claim, are confused about the process and the costs.”

Mr Gray added: “They will also support our busy personal injury department, which includes specialists in claims involving brain and spinal injury, clinical negligence and elder abuse and neglect.

“We have extensive experience in this sector, but we know it can be a minefield.
