An East Yorkshire vehicle finance company has launched a new free service which gives businesses better control of their fleets.
Automotive Funding Solutions (AFS), based in Beverley, is an independent firm run by Chris Goodman.
The company has now announced it is to shake up the market with the launch of a new fleet management service.
Mr Goodman said he hoped the new scheme could save some businesses up to £2,000 a month on the running costs of their vehicles.
He said: “This is a highly competitive industry and following an in-depth review of our service and that of our competitors, we saw an opportunity to further improve the customer experience.
“Some brokers are charging for services that we were offering for free.
“We see no reason to add unnecessary costs on to what is already a major investment and have now launched our free fleet management service.”
The new offering includes a variety of services.

It will offer companies regular mileage analysis of the entire fleet, and help make changes if any vehicles are over or under-used.
The fleet management package will also help companies obtain European travel documentation – an issue which has been brought to the fore by the 海角视频’s exit from the EU on January 31.
Short-term hire assistance, assistance with fines, early terminations, re-financing balloon rentals, vehicle collections and contract novations are also included in the service.
“Overall, we are in contact with our clients on a regular basis to provide general advice,” Mr Goodman said.
“It really is annoying when our clients receive charges at the end of their contracts so we keep in touch throughout, asking customers to update us on changes as they occur.

Mr Goodman is a chartered accountant and uses his knowledge and experience to provide advice on business taxation and the most cost-effective way to acquire vehicles, either through private or corporate routes.
He is joined at AFS by office manager Holly and administrator Emily, who have both progressed through the National Apprenticeship Scheme.
Mr Goodman said: “I have been in the fortunate position to give young people career opportunities.
“We have supported the scheme for a number of years and find our employees benefit from this as they earn while they learn. Plus, it feels good to be putting back into the community.
“Who knows, they might want to take over the business one day so it’s in our interests to look after them.”
