Rachel Rowley and Stephen Abberley join the family law practice group (FLPG) where their combined experience will add further strength to the advocacy and advisory services the FLPG provide to its clients.

Ms Rowley was called to the bar in 1997 and practices exclusively in the law relating to children. She is a highly regarded trial advocate in the most serious and complex cases involving child death, sexual abuse, serious physical injury and factitious illness. Legal 500 2012 said she “provides an exceptionally high level of service” to both her professional and lay clients.

Mr Abberley was called to the bar in 2000 and brings with him a wealth of experience in financial remedy and public law children cases.

He is regularly instructed by professionals and the self-employed in financial cases and is particularly respected in cases involving pension assets.

In public law care his expertise lies in cases involving sexual abuse, fabricated illness and cross jurisdictional issues.

Chambers º£½ÇÊÓƵ 2013 said Mr Abberley “is particularly good in care proceedings”.

Senior family clerk Mark Mansell said: “Rachel and Stephen will undoubtedly add further depth to our specialist family team and enable us to continue to deliver the highest quality legal services in our two core disciplines to solicitors both locally and nationally.
