Dow Schofield Watts is hoping to tempt professional services teams to quit their existing firms to launch their own start-ups with a £50,000 per person payment.

The mid-market professional services network will use a £2m pot established last year to boost recruitment and expansion.

The firm is targeting teams of three or more who want to break out of their existing firm and build their own business. DSW will also provide working capital to support the new companies.

DSW said it is currently seeing increased demand for services such as business recovery and debt advisory but is "also keen" to talk to teams offering corporate finance, due diligence, tax advisory and other specialist service lines.

DSW currently has 97 employees across nine offices in the North West, Leeds, Reading, London and Scotland.

It is aiming to expand the range of services at its existing offices and open new offices in locations including the Midlands and the South West.
