A Derbyshire architecture and interior design company is eyeing growth after securing a six-figure bank loan.

Oulsnam Design has been given the financial support by HSBCº£½ÇÊÓƵ to boost its growth ambitions and ongoing development work at its headquarters in Bakewell.

The family-run firm has over 40 years’ experience of servicing hospitality and leisure companies, as well as high-end residential properties across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Due to a steady increase in demand from existing and new clients for its architectural services during the pandemic, the business is refurbishing its 1,500 sq ft design offices and purchasing new IT equipment.

The funding from HSBC º£½ÇÊÓƵ will contribute towards the investment, enabling around six new jobs to be created in the future.

The company’s interior design projects were brought to a halt during the pandemic as customers across the hospitality and leisure industry closed due to the lockdown.

Now, this part of the business is slowly picking up as hotels and restaurants begin to plan for the future.

David Oulsnam, director at Oulsnam Design, said: “We’ve been fortunate enough to experience a steady amount of architectural business during the pandemic.
