Management at a Derby security company say moving to serviced offices in Pride Park has already paid off with several new client gains.

Monarch Security – whose clients range from Covid testing centres to members of the Saudi royal family – marked its sixth month anniversary with a recent move to Oberoi Business Hub in St Christopher’s Way.

The new location and a marketing campaign resulted in new business coming forward, including security services for a new designer fashion outlet store which will soon be opening in the city.

Entrepreneurs Lenny Reynolds and Matthew Brown are currently refurbishing 3,000 sq ft premises next to Mr Reynolds’ existing business Right Blinds in Ascot Drive.

They hope to open the shop, Brand Outlet, as soon as lockdown restrictions allow.

In the meantime, part of the £50,000 refurbishment will create a takeaway sandwich shop called Lunch Box at the front of the premises which will start trading ahead of the full Brand Outlet opening.

Monarch Security directors Farhaan Bhatti and Phil Wright, who have more than 25 years’ combined experience in the industry, have been advising Mr Reynolds on security and Covid-safe measures required ahead of the opening and will provide 24/7 support once the store is operational.

Mr Reynolds said: “I love Derby but always felt that the city was missing a good quality designer brand outlet store.
