DBS Law lands national award for road safety initiative

Midlands-based law firm, DBS Law, has received recognition for its ongoing commitment to educating young people about road safety.

Organised by Business in the Community, a business-led charity, the Responsible Business Awards 2014 identifies, celebrates and showcases companies which demonstrate a positive, sustainable and societal impact.

DBS Law won the Big Tick in the 'Business in the Community' category for its 'Clock on to Safety' initiative which has provided road safety training for thousands of school children in Birmingham.

The programme, run in partnership with , has involved lawyers from DBS Law visiting schools and teaching children to think about the dangers they face when crossing the road.

As part of the initiative, DBS Law also commissioned the to compose a road safety musical.

This concert was attended by 3,000 children from 55 schools from across Birmingham and featured songs and dances that demonstrated safe ways to cross the road in a fun and memorable way.

So successful was this event that it was shortlisted for an award at the 2014 Arts & Business Awards in partnership with .
