An East Midlands vets has started 2023 in style with the opening of a £915k practice.

Ash Tree Vets celebrated the new year by opening the doors to a new base in Wistow Road, Kibworth, south Leicestershire, after relocating from an old premises in Smeeton Road.

The move will enable the team to expand the services offered and install new equipment to provide better care for pets.

The new branch has four consulting rooms, two operating theatres, a physiotherapy room, a laboratory, dental suite, and separate dog and cat wards to reduce the anxiety of feline patients. It also has a dedicated bereavement room for compassionate end-of-life care.

Ash Tree Vets, which also has branches in Market Harborough and Desborough, relocated to the larger site to meet the high demand for pet care, and means clients no longer have to travel to the Market Harborough branch for certain procedures.

The move has also seen Ash Tree Vets bolster its team by welcoming two new vets, Chris Sherwood and Tine Headline.

Clinical director Stella Coulson said: “The team is super excited as this has been our dream for a long time.

“Our Smeeton Road branch was too small, and we weren’t able to offer all the procedures we do at the Harborough branch. Now, we will be able to mirror all those services, and also be able to offer much better parking.
