An HR consultancy is planning to open more branches after growing by around a third in recent months.

Breedon Consulting, which is based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, has added 20 new clients to its books this year, and plans to open another office in the Midlands in January.

Breedon was founded by managing director Nicki Robson in 1999, to provide training and development for SMEs in a range of sectors.

It extended that service to training managers and providing support on all HR-related matters.

In 2013 current operations director Bev Brady joined the team helping Nicki grow of the company to its current team of eight.

Management said turnover has trebled in the last four years, helped by referrals from longstanding clients and contacts, many of them in the energy, finance and scientific industries who have been with the business for more than 20 years.

A spokeswoman said: “During the Covid-19 pandemic, the consultancy offered free HR advice to business owners to help them navigate the crisis, providing guidance on HR legislation and the Government Job Retention Scheme (Furlough Scheme), to support businesses during challenging times.

“Still offering free advice via group webinars, providing the initial free HR support, has really demonstrated to companies the commercial benefit of having solid regular HR support in place, and business owners have had a chance to see the value of a long-term HR partner, which has resulted in an influx of new enquiries and clients to the firm since July.
