Consumer healthcare specialist Rubicon is opening a European office as it gears up for growth and Brexit.

The Hull-headquartered regulatory service provider has made the North Sea hop to Amsterdam, having successfully traded in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ for the past 13 years.

It follows significant growth in the past six years with an expanding network of European and international clients tapping into the technical expertise across medicines, medical devices, food supplements and cosmetics.

The company, founded by former Galpharm and Merck executive Kathryn Symonowicz, is also widening the offer to the industry, as it enters the warehousing and distribution market for consumer healthcare goods early next year.

Kathryn, who has worked in Amsterdam previously, and sees it as a “vibrant city in which Rubicon can thrive”, said: “As our European client base grows, and with Brexit imminently upon us, this is the perfect time for expansion.

“Amsterdam is the ideal European hub due to its proximity to Brussels, easy transport links from our base in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and the existing pool of consumer healthcare talent in the city.

“This is an exciting time for Rubicon Technical and I look forward to leading the team to greater success in the coming months and years.”

Based in Hessle, the past four years have seen turnover increase 25 per cent year-on-year, with the 15-strong team also set to grow further.
