A business consultancy firm has launched a new Birmingham office and appointed a partner to lead the operation.
Cortus Advisory Group has added a base in The Colmore Building to its existing quartet of offices in Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham and Preston.
Leading the firm's first West Midlands operation is transaction services partner Rachael Ellis.
She brings more than 15 years of experience to the role, starting her career at EY before spending ten years in the PwC Midlands team.
Ms Ellis has advised owner-managers, corporates and investors on strategic transactions across a broad range of industry sectors.
She said: "I am thrilled to join Cortus Advisory at such an exciting time in the firm's growth.
"I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the business and working with such a talented team to help our clients navigate the complexities of merges and acquisitions transactions."
Chief executive Nicola Merritt added: "I'm extremely excited that Rachael is joining us and leading the opening of our new Birmingham office.
"She has significant experience in the deals market and I look forward to seeing her continue to develop our presence in the Midlands region."
Last year, Cortus Advisory Group expanded to a team of more than 35 staff, with further recruitment currently taking place.
