Co-operative Bank donates £650,000 to charities including NHS Charities Together

The Bank has also supported Refuge, a women’s and children charity, with £200,000 funding.

The Co-operative Bank has donated £650,000 to key charities in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Manchester headquartered bank has allocated £100,000 to national charity NHS Charities Together which will go to directly support healthcare workers, volunteers and patients across the country who have been impacted by Coronavirus.

In addition to this, Co-operative Bank colleagues have been fundraising to provide care packages to teams at local hospitals in the Manchester area, and have responded to requests from NHS workers who are customers, around the country.

The Bank has also supported Refuge, a women’s and children charity, with £200,000 funding.

Other organisation include Centrepoint, which tackles youth homelessnese as well as Oxfam, Amnesty International º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and Hospice º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, all of whom have experienced impacts on their donations due to Coronavirus.

North West communities will also benefit with donations going to local Trussell Trust food banks in Skelmersdale and Leek. These local initiatives were recommended by Co-operative Bank employees who enjoy volunteering and supporting these food banks through donations, which provide a lifeline for local communities.
