Buyout deal for Coventry law firms

Band Hatton Button acquires Richardson & Davies Solicitors as it continues expansion drive

Coventry law firm Band Hatton Button has bought out city rival Richardson & Davies Solicitors.

The latter has been based in Coventry since 1936 and will trade as Band Hatton Button from January following the undisclosed deal.

Its eight-strong team will move from their existing base in Station Square to Band Hatton Button's premises at Earlsdon Park.

Band Hatton Button said the merger would create a £5 million turnover business, with 90 staff serving more than 16,000 clients across the Midlands and beyond.

Managing director Mark Moseley said: "Richardson & Davies have built up a great reputation and have a strong client base so this is a great and exciting move for us.

"Growth is a key part of our long-term strategy.

"Moving into our new offices at Earlsdon Park was one big part of the jigsaw and joining forces with Richardson & Davies is an important addition for us.

"Richardson & Davies' staff bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with them, particularly within commercial property and we look forward to working with them to grow the business over the coming years."
