Bristol's inland surfing destination The Wave appoints Foot Anstey

The national law firm will support and advise the South Gloucestershire-based surfing facility on a range of legal matters

Surf park operator The Wave has appointed a national law firm to support and advise on a range of legal matters.

The South Gloucestershire-based surfing facility, just 20 minutes from Bristol City Centre, has appointed Foot Anstey to assist on matters including sustainable energy generation projects, developing technology and full-service support.

The Wave opened in 2019 and is underpinned by values including sustainability and accessibility, that looks to share the positive power of water and waves with more people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

Foot Anstey will be supporting The Wave on various legal matters and drawing on lawyers from across the multi-disciplinary firm. Foot Anstey will offer energy related services across all phases of The Wave's renewable energy generation project - The Wave Flux Capacitor, which includes ground-mounted solar panels, solar car port, EV charging points and battery storage - from initial development, through to construction and commercial operation. This project is "integral" to The Wave's overall vision of creating an environmentally friendly and sustainable facility.

In addition, as The Wave enhances its digital experience, Foot Anstey will advise on data and technology matters, including advice in relation to its ticketing software services. The firm will also advise The Wave group Limited with any legal needs that may arise, including commercial contracts, corporate, employment, construction, data protection, IP and disputes.
