Bristol chartered accounts Dunkley’s has appointed a new director as its post-pandemic growth continues.

The independent firm, which is based in Bradley Stoke, has hired Joe Weston to help lead it, alongside founder Mike Dunkley and fellow directors Lisa White and Matthew Dobbins.

Mr Weston has been with the company for eight years, having joined as an apprentice back in 2015.

His appointment comes amid a recruitment drive for Dunkley’s, which has taken on 21 new staff members since July 2022, taking its total workforce to around 60.

Bosses at the company said it had developed from a general practice into departmentalised specialists, and was continuing to hire across all departments to meet client growth, as new work “continues to increase”.

The business said it had identified business advisory services as a growth area, with property and not-for-profit as their areas of expertise.

Mr Weston said: “Our motto is that we are big enough to deliver the depth of knowledge and services of a large corporate firm, but small enough to be personable and approachable individuals. I’m very much looking forward to this new role and all I can bring to it.”
