Birmingham legal awards opens for entries

Law Society will hosts its 22nd annual awards next March with three new categories for 2024

Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards are now open for entries

An annual awards celebrating the city's legal community has opened for entries.

Birmingham Law Society's 2024 Legal Awards will be its 22nd ceremony and celebrate achievement across 14 different categories including three new ones.

They are outstanding student contribution, junior barrister (ten years' call and under) and Legal PA.

Alice Kinder was sworn in last month as new president of the law society, the youngest in the sector body's 205-year history.

She said "As president of the Birmingham Law Society, I am delighted that one of my first acts is to launch the Legal Awards 2024.

"In line with my themes of community and opportunity, this year's awards have been revised to ensure every facet of our vibrant legal profession is recognised and celebrated. With that in mind, we will be introducing three new awards for 2024.

"Whether you are an experienced practitioner, an innovator, a rising star or someone who is providing exceptional support to the delivery of legal services, these awards are designed to be inclusive and give every deserving individual and organisation the chance to step into the spotlight.
