Beakbane unveils new 拢1.2 million manufacturing plant

Lloyds Bank backs Worcestershire company with £800,000 funding package

A manufacturer in has expanded its plant after securing a £800,000 funding package.

Beakbane, which was founded in 1954 by Renault Beakbane, makes machinery for customers such as machine tool builders Yamazaki Mazak and Heller.

It has recently opened a new £1.2 million facility which includes production areas for the efficient manufacturing of machine protection equipment, additional offices, an engineering development laboratory and employee welfare facilities.

Funding for the expansion was provided by the Birmingham office of Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking and a local development order facilitated by Wyre Forest District Council.

It was granted using the Funding for Lending Scheme which sees banks offering discounts on lending to small- and medium-sized businesses.

Non-executive director Tom Beakbane said: "The single most important factor in making an enterprise like this work is phenomenal customers.

"It is our customers who have helped us develop new processes, new technologies and innovations. We are extremely fortunate that they are world leaders and are export-minded."
