Leicester-based Westerby Investment Management has taken on the clients of Blythin & Brown Financial Solutions, which is based in north Leicestershire.
Blythin & Brown is the financial services arm of Mountsorrel-based Blythin & Brown Insurance Brokers, which was set up by Jonathan Blythin and Richard Picton..
It means Westerby will see what it says is a “significant increase” in funds under management.
Westerby said staff will be kept on as the two businesses are integrated, and promised to retain the high standards Blythin & Brown Financial Solutions’ clients and professional connections had come to expect.
Westerby Group managing director Steve Harvey said: “We are delighted to announce this client acquisition which will provide continuity to Blythin & Brown Insurance Brokers Ltd’s proposition.

A joint statement from the management at Blythin & Brown Insurance Brokers said they were looking for "a safe pair of hands" to expand their financial advice proposition via a strategic partnership.
They said: “Choosing Westerby was easy because the synergy of independence, culture and service levels align.
“Also, having a long-standing relationship with Westerby cemented the decision.
“The Blythin & Brown team are looking forward to working closely with Westerby in our various professional propositions in the future to ensure continuity of service for our new and existing commercial and private insurance clients.”
Westerby investment Management was launched in 1987 and offers independent advice to individuals and businesses in the 海角视频 from its base in Leicester city centre. It has around 5,000 clients.
Areas of specialism include inheritance planning, investments, savings and life insurance, and total assets under trusteeship, administration and advice are now more than £1.5 billion.
