Private equity house NorthEdge Capital has opened a new office in Birmingham.
The firm鈥檚 new base in The Colmore Building will be led by experienced deal-makers Rob Freer and Andrew Skinner, joining the company鈥檚 teams in Manchester and Leeds.
NorthEdge is targeting expansion of its investment activities across the East and West Midlands.
Mr Freer has more than 25 years of corporate finance experience across roles in private equity, acquisition finance, corporate finance and restructuring.
He joins as a director and has previously held senior positions at EY, Royal Bank of Scotland, Deloitte and Lloyds Bank.
Mr Skinner is NorthEdge鈥檚 new Birmingham investment manager and brings more than 15 years of experience, working with mid-market businesses.
He has been involved in a number of private equity transactions at PwC and Better Capital.
NorthEdge has invested in 18 companies since 2013 and has committed almost 拢100 million of equity across seven deals in the last 12 months.
